The
Backup Destination windows consists of
settings for local backup and online
backup. Table 1: Local
Backup Destination Settings
Back up files to this drive |
Check this box to enable local
backup.

Click this button to choose a
drive as local backup
destination. A drive chooser
will pop up. In Home Edition,
only local drives are supported.
In Business Edition or Education
Edition, you can use mapped
network drive as local backup
destination. If there is not
previous DualBackup backup
record in the selected drive, a
directory called "dualbackup"
will be created in the selected
drive. All backup data will be
stored in the "dualbackup"
directory. It is important that
you should not modify, rename or
delete any file in the
"dualbackup" directory,
otherwise DualBackup may not be
able to restore data correctly.
If the selected drive was
used to back up your computer
before, DualBackup will retrieve
all the backup information from
the "dualbackup" drive and
continue backing up your
computer from the previous
backup state. |

Backup ID |
The online backup ID for
this computer. It is different
from the ID of the user account
on the DualBackup website. User
account ID for on the DualBackup
website is usually your email
address. While the computer
backup ID is a text
string specified by you. Note that
one computer backup account can
only be used to back up one
computer. If multiple computers
uses the same computer backup
account, there will be errors
and DualBackup may not able to
restore your data. |
Password |
The online backup password for
this computer. |
"Forgot your password?" link |
Click this link if you forgot
your password. A browser window
will pop up for you to reset the
password. A new password will be
sent to the email address
associated with this computer
backup account. |

If you don't have a computer
backup account, you can sign up
for online backup service
through the DualBackup website (http://www.dualbackup.com/). |
